​Objective:

The purpose of the workshop was to provide a platform for our aspiring maritime contractors with the opportunity to understand and raise awareness on  Maritime risks, Policies, process and procedures in place to manage these risks and its importance.

An overview of the Marine portfolio within BSJV. The enhanced LBD focus and requirements, BSJV's contracting process and upcoming tender opportunities.

The aim of the workshop is to impart them with the right information in order for them to be more competitive and sustainable.

The one day workshop was held at the SCM Pungguk Multipurpose Hall and over 30 aspiring maritime contractors were in attendance. It was jointly organized by SCM, SMR and EDPMO. Locals banks were also invited to provide guidance to the aspiring maritime contractors on financial support that are available from banks. Some of BSP's existing Marine contractors were also in participation to share their experience on how to manage contractual requirements.

The workshop also discussed incentives that are available to support Marine contractors in achieving their LBD requirements. This was led by EICF (Energy Industry Competency Framework) and supported by EDPMO
